By-law No: 3636

Description: BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 3550 BEING A BY-LAW TO PRESCRIBE STANDARDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OCCUPANCY OF RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY.

Date Passed: December 14, 1976

WHEREAS By-law number 3550 is a By-law to prescribe standards for the maintenance and occupancy of residential property; and

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend said By-law number 3550.

NOW THEREFORE the Corporation of the Township of Sandwich West enacts as follows:

  1. That By-law number 3550 finally passed on the 15th day of April, 1975 be amended by deleting section 3.9.2 as it appears in said by-law and substituting therefore the following so that the said section shall read as follows:

    "There shall be a secondary means of egress from every dwelling unit above the first floor and for dwelling units located in the basement, so as to provide a safe and convenient means of egress in case of emergency."
     

  2. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day following the final passing thereof.

FINALLY PASSED this 14th day of December 1976.
