Collection Calendar

This Collection Calendar booklet contains important information on garbage, recycling, yard waste, a calendar of events, leaf collection and other pertinent information about your municipality.

If you do not receive your Collection Calendar you may obtain one by contacting your municipality at 969-7770 ext. 221.

Garbage Collection

See when garbage pickup is for your street.

 

White Goods

White Goods such as fridges, stoves, washers and dryers are available for collection at no charge. 
Please call 969-7770 ext. 221 to arrange for a pick-up.

White Goods notes:

  • pickup is on 3rd Thursday of every month, year round.

  • Call day before by noon to advise…otherwise need to wait until the following month

All white goods put out for collection should not be placed at the road.  Instead, place your white goods around the house or garage, in the driveway where it can be seen from the road.

If your white goods are removed before the scheduled pick up, please contact the Town to inform them.

 

Yard Waste

The Town does not accept plastic bags.  The ONLY containers for Yard Waste are:

  • Cardboard Boxes

  • Paper Yard Waste Bags

  • Garbage Cans

Yard Waste should be placed out for collection as follows:


Garden Waste

Flowers, vegetables, plants and fruit should be put in cardboard boxes, paper yard waste bags, or garbage pails/cans.

Grass Clippings
Try grasscycling! Leave them on your lawn.

If you must place grass clippings out, put in garbage pails.  Do NOT use plastic Bags.

Grass clippings will only be collected from May to October


Tree & Hedge Trimmings

Tied in bundles
(max length 4ft, max diameter 2ft)

Collection dates are listed in your collection calendar.  The dates are as follows:

Should be dropped off after Christmas at the following depots:

  • River Canard Park

  • Gil Maure Park

  • Public Works

  • Optimist Park

  • Heritage Park

  • Vince Marcotte Park
