Taxi Cab Information

Procedure for applying for a Taxi Cab Driver's License:

An exam must be written before an application is completed.

  • This exam is a two-part exam.

  • Part 1 is approximately twelve geography questions.

  • Part 2 is approximately twelve taxi by-law questions.

  • The exam is made up of written questions that require a written answer. Example: Question - Where is the Town Hall located in LaSalle? Answer - Malden Road between Sprucewood and Normandy.

A passing mark of 70% is required on both exams to qualify for your license.  An appointment to write the exam may be scheduled by contacting Roxanne Guthrie at 969-7770 Ext. 247.

An application form is to be completed along with the following documentation:

  • 2 current passport pictures

  • Ontario Driver's License

  • Abstract from the Ministry of Transportation

  • Police Clearance

  • Application Fee (Call for Pricing)
