Fire Hydrant Maintenance

Please be advised that the Town of LaSalle Water Department personnel will be carrying out Fire Hydrant Maintenance and flushing of the watermains.

During this time, there will be some pressure drops and discolouration of the water. Should any water customers’ note any discolouration of the water in their residence please run your cold water tap for a minute or two and the water will clear.

Should a problem persist please call the Water Dept. between the hours of 7:00 am to 4:30 pm at 969-4143. In the event of a water emergency after hours, the phone will be answered by the Police Dispatch Center.

To keep our land and waterways clean and safe, LaSalle's Environmental Services staff manage a number of responsibilities:

Road and Sidewalk Snow Operations

• salting/sanding

• plowing and cleaning of roads

Sanitation

Road Maintenance

• pot hole repair/crack sealing

• asphalt repair/patching/treatment

• curb repairs

• collection, removal and repair of road hazards

Roadside Maintenance

• weed cutting

• sidewalk repair/replacement

• sidewalk leveling

• ditch clearing/culvert repair

• surface drainage

• flood control/storm damage

Under Ontario Regulation 170/03, Schedule 15.1, all large municipal residential water systems such as the Town of LaSalle must have 60 private residences tested for lead in the water.  Follow the link for more information.
