Servicing Information

Water: municipally owned and operated water distribution system.  Water is purchased in bulk from the Windsor Utilities Commission.  Recently installed a new 20 inch trunk watermain located south of Bouffard Road, from the Howard Business Park to Malden Road to accommodate projected future growth in the designated urban area.

Sanitary: existing municipally owned and operated trunk sanitary server collection system has been designed and constructed to accommodate a populated equivalent in excess of 60,000 persons.  Existing 30 inch sanitary sewer forcemain has the capacity to flow 3.7 Million Gallons per Day (MGD), an amount considered sufficient to accommodate a population equivalent of 31,200 persons.

Additional infrastructure, such as new forcemains, pumps and treatment capacity, is to be phased in over time and constructed or purchased by the town as required.  Sewage treatment plant capacity (currently 2 MGD) has been purchased and paid for by the town, and is provided by agreement by the West Windsor Pollution Control Plant.

Storm: provided by way of an extensive network of inland watercourses, drains, ditches and storm sewers, in various states of repair.
