The Town Of LaSalle - Demolition Permit Information

The Ontario Building Code regulation requires demolition permit for any structure greater than 108 square feet with the exception of farm buildings. The purpose of this permit is to ensure the building services are disconnected properly and property assessment is updated.

Demolition Permit Information

Complete demolition application. Provide size of all structures to be demolished.
All demolition of larger part 3 building must following the direction of a professional Architects and Engineers.
Demolition of buildings with hazardous materials (ie: asbestos) must be carried out as per Ministry of Labour requirement.
The site must be maintained in a safe and orderly manner including protective fencing as required.
Demolition permit fee $.05 per square foot. (minimum of $35.00)
The applicant must notify the Tax Department upon completion of demolition in order to remove structures from Tax Rolls.

Inspection Process and Completion of work

The permit holder shall arrange the follow inspections with the Town of LaSalle at 519-969-7770 extension 245.

Sanitary and storm sewer must be permanently capped.
Final site inspection (site to be cleared of all debris and graded)
