Emergency Planning The Province of Ontario passed the Emergency Management Act in 2002 which requires all communities (including municipalities) to develop and implement an Emergency Management Program at the “Essential” level by December 2004. Emergency Plan The Town of LaSalle adopted By-law Number 6478, a by-law which contains the Township Emergency Plan in November 9, 2004. This document outlines the roles and responsibilities of Council and staff in the event an emergency is declared by the Mayor. Preparing for the Unexpected (pdf) No one can predict the on-set of an emergency situation within the municipality. However, our best defense against one is to be prepared in the event we are confronted with an emergency situation. Reverse 911 Contact Information Sheet In the case of an emergency, the Reverse 911 database does not contain unlisted numbers. To ensure that you are notified in the case of an emergency, we are requesting all residents with unlisted numbers, or persons who feel they might not be included in the database for other reasons, to download and complete the following form (PDF) and return to your Municipal Office: 5950 Malden Rd, LaSalle, Ontario N9H 1S4, Attention C.E.M.C. Information released must be in written form NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. The information provided will only be used in the event of an emergency and not released to any third party use. 3 Day Emergency Survival Kit When an emergency occurs, you could be anywhere but it is most likely that you will be either at home, at work or in your car. Having specific supplies available on-hand can help you endure an emergency by making you self-sufficient for 3 days or even longer. View the Public Safety Canada website.
