The LaSalle Strawberry Festival
June 9-12, 2016

Featuring Canadian Artist Steven Page

Canadian Artist Steven Page

The singer/songwriter is a founding member of The Barenaked Ladies with whom he toured the globe and sold millions of albums. Steven Page's distinctive and powerful tenor is among the most instantly recognizable voices in popular music today. Steven Page will perform at the LaSalle Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 11.

On his own, Steven Page continues his artistic evolution with a diverse array of solo projects. "I'd like to think I'm still delivering that thing that has connected with audiences for so long. I enjoy the process of being artistic, of taking chances and not knowing what might come next," Page said. His newest album, "Heal Thyself, Pt. 1: Instinct", will be released on March 11.

This is the LaSalle Strawberry Festival's 29th year. The four-day event takes place at Gil Maure Park featuring pageants, a carnival, fireworks over the Heritage Detroit River, parade, entertainment and local strawberries. Admission is $5 per person at the gate (children under 6 and seniors over 65 are free), or weekend passes are $12 per person. Weekend passes will be available for purchase beginning on Monday, May 16 at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.

When two tons of fresh strawberries arrive at the LaSalle Fire Department, it's a sure sign that the Annual Strawberry Festival is about to begin. The variety of events that take place over the four days of the LaSalle Strawberry Festival appeal to young and old.  The annual event is held at Gil Maure park, at the corner of Front Road and Laurier Dr.
